Smoke and CO Sensors

Smoke Detector

Smoke Detectors are small, but mighty sensors use advanced heat detection and photoelectric technology to sense unusually high temperatures and even small amounts of smoke.

An alarm is triggered under any of these potentially dangerous situations:

  • A sudden rise in temperature (15° F or more in 1 minute)
  • Overall temperature above 135° F
  • Smoke in the air

Carbon Monoxide Detector

Your family’s safety is your #1 priority. And it’s ours, too. That’s why Smoke & Heat Sensors are an essential addition to any Element Pro's security system.  In a fire or smoke situation, every second counts. Our Smoke & Heat Sensors are professionally monitored and will sound an alarm and contact you right away. If you can’t be reached, our monitoring team will notify local emergency responders to quickly send help. Typical hardware-store smoke detectors can’t do that.

A Carbon Monoxide Detector is a device that detects the presence of the odorless, but deadly gas, carbon monoxide. These also come in a combination device with battery backup that is the preferred unit for most customers.

If an alarm is triggered a notification can be sent to your phone or ipad/tablet via the Element Pros App or if you prefer an email and also if you are monitored through our alarm monitoring company police will be notified of a leak much sooner.

What you need to know

Exposure to carbon monoxide reduces a person’s ability to think clearly, so don’t delay clearing out.

When a detector sounds, make sure everyone is out of the house and call 911.

Have a licensed technician inspect all of your fuel burning appliances annually, to ensure they are working properly as well as vented correctly.

Examples of CO appliances to check:

  •  Furnace
  •  Range
  • Fireplace
  • Water heater
